Here's how you can make Siri talk when charging.

  1. Under "When Using Assistive touch", select "Speak when locked"
  2. Press the home button twice to activate Siri.
  3. Siri can be asked to speak.
  4. Say, "Hey Siri."
  5. Say "OK."
  6. You can say, "Tell us something interesting!"
